ArtVenture Art Discovery Program

Art outreach program at various locations throughout the Crossroads

ArtVenture Art Discovery Program

ArtVenture Art Discovery Program is the Nave's free art outreach program which is dedicated to serving children facing various challenges including special educational or emotional needs, family transitions, and financial challenges. By partnering with organizations like the Boys & Girls Club, The Brownson Home for Children, and The Vine School, we aim to provide a nurturing experience in a familiar environment where children can explore art as a means of expression and empowerment. Through enriching art projects and engaging lessons on art history and methodology, we strive to educate and inspire these young individuals. We wholeheartedly believe that art is a vital outlet for emotions and a powerful tool for fostering creativity and imagination in all children, regardless of their circumstances.

The Brownson Home's Lesson on Pablo Picasso

This week, program participants at The Brownson Home learned about legendary  20th-century Spanish sculptor and painter Pablo Picasso and explored his more abstract techniques by creating figures with construction paper!

The Brownson Home's Exploration of Vincent van Gogh

The children from The Brownson Home participating in our ArtVenture Program learned about acclaimed 19th-century Dutch post-Impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh and explored his techniques by painting flower and nature scenes of their own!

The Vine School Visit to the Nave!

The students from The Vine School participating in our ArtVenture Program came to visit us during the final days of the last exhibit! The boys were able to explore both galleries holding the "ADMIRATION" sculpture exhibit by Greg Reuter and the "Unfolding" painting exhibit by Tracey Waldroup. So wonderful to have them make a special trip to come see the art in person!

Mosaics, Color Theory, and Egyptian Art History

Explore the incredible mosaics, color wheels, and Egyptian sphinxes and pyramids created by the talented young artists at The Vine School, The Boys & Girls Club of Victoria, and Brownson Home this week! Witness the boundless creativity of these amazing little individuals!
